Yogalates
Strengthen the core muscles (abdominals and low back) with mat pilates exercises. Develop strength, balance, and flexibility with yoga poses. Combine yoga and pilates, with breath awareness and stress reduction, for a complete workout, and return to your busy day with focus and energy.

Tuesday Night Yoga

Energize the body and calm the mind. Focus on poses that develop strength, flexibility, and balance. New students

are welcome, including those brand new to yoga. Basic poses, more challenging variations, and gentle modifications

will be offered, so all students find safe alignment and inner well-being. Leave class both invigorated and stressfree.

Instructor, Laurie Mayper, has certifications including YogaSpirit Studios, yin yoga, restorative yoga, pilates

mat and group exercise.

REDDING HERITAGE CENTER 

Yoga

Gentle stretching and balancing exercises designed to strengthen, relax and revitalize the body, mind, and spirit. Mats are available, or you may bring your own.

Time: Wednesdays 9:00-10:00a.m.

All PARK & REC and HERITAGE CENTER classes at Redding Community Center, in the Community Room, 37 Lonetown Road, behind Redding Elementary School. 

Tuesday night and Saturday are offered by Park and Rec. Register with Park and Rec to ensure we have sufficient enrollment. As of 2/24/19, Tuesday night class is running, so you may take a trial class before registering. In case of bad weather, call the Park and Rec Cancelation line.

Wednesday morning class is offered by Heritage Center. Free trial your first time. Drop ins always welcome. If Redding public schools have a delayed opening or snow day 9:00am Yoga is not held that day.

Stress Relief Yoga for Teens 
This class is designed to melt away stress from your busy week. We will begin with a brief centering and gentle warm-up stretches. We will practice yoga postures standing, seated, and mat-lying, then end with meditation or relaxation. Leave class feeling replenished for the rest of your weekend.

Ridgefield

Space is available for private instruction or your own group in the heart of Branchville. Fred Astaire, Ethan Allen Hwy, Rte. 7, Ridgefield. Please bring a mat.  Limited weekday morning hours available.

Prenatal Yoga

Embrace this wonderful time in your life with yoga postures and breathing exercises designed to enhance your

comfort during pregnancy and birth. Learn to stand, sit, and move, as you progress in your pregnancy, as well as alleviate common pregnancy aches and pains. No prior yoga experience needed. Please check with your physician prior to first class.

Baby & Me Yoga

Come join the fun as we stretch and play with the little ones, letting both of you enjoy the experience of yoga. Help introduce you child to a lifelong practice of yoga while you take some time for yourself. Incorporate your baby into some of the postures, and teach him/her to model you in others. Then we all take a few moments to relax and share in the joy of the day. No prior yoga experience needed for mom, dad, or caregiver, for babies 8-weeks old but not yet walking.

Yoga Stretch, Relax, & Restore

This class is a combination of gentle hatha yoga, yin yoga, and restorative yoga. Begin with brief centering and breath awareness. Warm up with gentle hatha yoga, which may include standing, seated, kneeling, and mat-lying postures. Find stillness in your mind and body as you unwind into longer held yin postures. Yin yoga works deeply into the connective tissues, stimulating blood flow to the ligaments, tendons and fascia, and helps to increase flexibility. Melt into relaxation in lying down restorative poses, and leave feeling restored, renewed, and stress free. New students are welcome, including complete beginners. Class moves slowly, so everyone can practice at their own pace.  Please bring 2 pillows and 2 large towels or blankets to class. If you have a yoga mat and/or bolster bring them.  Bring what you have; no need to buy anything.

Intro to Yoga

Want to try yoga, but not sure where to start? This class is for you! Calm the mind, warm up, practice poses, then relax. Geared to people new to yoga. Please bring a mat or large towel.

Yin Yoga

Long-held stretches to stimulate blood flow to the connective tissues and increase flexibility.

Restorative Yoga

Long-held supported postures to release stress and lead to relaxation.

Yoga Nidra

Guided meditation to lead you to your deepest level of relaxation.


Core Yoga Pilates Fitness

through Fairfield Continuing Ed.

New, earlier time coming for Fall 2019

Combine yoga and Pilates for a complete work out of mind, body, and spirit. Class includes warm up and gentle stretches, Pilates mat exercises for core strengthening, back-lying abs, standing yoga poses to strengthen the lower body and develop balance, and deep yoga stretches for flexibility. All levels of fitness are welcome. Students may practice at their own level in a safe, noncompetitive atmosphere. New students receive detailed instruction on the basics, while returning students add more challenging variations. Please bring a mat.
